The Canary Islands Holidays
The Canary Islands has six major islets and seven islands, namely the Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Fuerteventura, La Palma, Gomera and Hierro. Their northern-most perimeter is situated 29? & 25? N and their southern-most perimeter is 27? & 38? N. Their highest altitude is 3,718 meters, Peak of ‘el Teide’ on ‘Tenerife’.
On the other hand ‘Tenerife’ is the largest island of the Canaries and almost undoubtedly the most popular, among the tourists particularly from the United Kingdoms. The centre of the island comprises of a mountain range with the volcanic cavern ‘Canadas del Teide’. In other places there are rich valleys growing bananas tomatoes and various other crops with a shoreline that offers spectacular scenery and large fine sandy beaches. Gran Canaria Island has a wonderful mountain range in its centre. The island has various landscapes and diverse climate zones with a blend of deserted land, mountains and wide sandy beaches with of course tropical forests all over.
The Canaries on the whole have something for everyone, from the clubbing of neon lighted resorts and karaoke to the enchanting beauty of small fishing villages, and the tranquility and peacefulness of white-washed mountain peak hamlets.
