transportation system; the Metro underground train network will probably be the main method as it runs regularly and reaches every part of the city.

The Eiffel Tower at over 300 meters tall is a magnificent steel structure; it’s visible throughout most of the city but the views from the top of this huge steel structure are even more impressive. Illuminated at night it dominates the city’s skyline; guided tours are available where the patriotic tour guides give you an in depth history and an insight to what it is to be French.

A walk along the Champs Elysees is essential when you visit Paris; if you want to see famous, designer label shops and the restaurants, this is the place. This is an ‘up-market’ area that attracts thousands of tourists each day; most of the five star hotels are located here but more affordable hotels can be found further out.

The city’s famous museum, the Louvre is huge and worth a visit if you have the time; it holds in excess of 300,000 pieces of art, which cannot possibly be seen in a single visit. The problem is a Paris apartments short stay will only ever provide a glimpse of what can be seen here; the Venus de Milo is displayed here and of course the Mona Lisa. What makes Paris special is the number of artists that have been attracted to this great capital; chances are that you will have the opportunity to see a number of famous paintings whilst you’re visiting.

The famous 19th century edifice built on Napoleons instructions, the Arc de Triomphe, is also in Paris; to honor his generals (and his troops) he had their names inscribed upon it. Although not generally well known, the Arc had an observatory installed after it was constructed to provide views of neighboring areas; in particular those obtained along the lanes that lead from it.

It is fair to say that you won’t see everything on a accommodation in Paris short stay of two or even three day break; this article has not even discussed the topic of medieval castles and Gothic churches which the city has in abundance.
